Download SMART-T

This page tells you how to download and install smart-t as well as system requirements, a manual page, and the draft of a methods paper describing Smart-T

Smart-T is continually evolving and has been beta tested in only a few labs, and is therefore provided 'as is', without any implied guarantees or support. There are many factors that can affect its performance, including the CPU, RAM, videocard, and operating system of the host Mac. While we welcome feedback on successes and problems, we do not provide individual technical support. We will introduce updates on a regular basis as additional functions and bug fixes are implemented, so check back often to download the latest version. By downloading it you agree to use it at your own risk and that the authors shall not be held accountable for any direct, indirect and incidental losses or damages, which you may incur. Written permission is required for any academic or commercial exploitation of the toolbox.

This system currently is Mac only. It has been extensively tested on a Mac Pro (2.8GHz Quad-core Intel Xeon processor, 6GB DDR2 RAM, OS 10.5.x).

Please look at the requirements for talk2tobii and psychtoolbox below.

  • Download the entire directory as a zip file
  • Download just the manual as a pdf

System requirements

The system has been tested on a bunch of Macs

How to install - move directory to wherever you want.

Quick start

Make sure Psychtoolbox is installed. Start up Matlab, navigate to the Smart-T directory (or add it to your Matlab path). Start the GUI with »TobiiGUI and click "Show Screen".

NB: If you try this on a non-too-powerful computer or a laptop (like the Macbook Pro), Psychtoolbox might not be able to sync with the screen properly and will crash. To (temporarily!) get around this, edit TobiiGUI.m, and un-comment "Screen('Preference', 'SkipSyncTests', 1);…" and comment out "Screen('Preference', 'SkipSyncTests', 0);"
